Meet William J. Torre
William J. Torre was born July 15th, 1957 in Hackensack, New Jersey.
He is a graduate of Corpus Christi Grammar School, Hasbrouck Heights, High School, The University of Miami and George Mason University School of Law and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1985.
He has served as special counsel to the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, the City of Hackensack, the Bergen County 200 Club and numerous municipalities and legislators in the Bergen County area. Mr. Torre has held the position of counsel to land use boards in Bergen County and addressed land use issues before various boards and courts throughout the state.
His law practice includes as clients, banks, mortgage companies and developer/owners of multi family and commercial properties as well as numerous municipalities in the Bergen County area. Mr. Torre also serves as vice president and general counsel to the Strategic Alliance Group, a business consulting organization that has both private and public sector clients. He is also a managing partner and general counsel of numerous real estate partnerships and limited liability companies.
Mr. Torre has served on the advisory board and counsel to Josephine’s Place, a non profit woman’s outreach and family wellness center in Elizabeth New Jersey counsel to the Charles and Ann Serraino Foundation and has served as chairman of the Anti Drug Council of Hasbrouck Heights. He has also served the boro of Hasbrouck Heights as Mayor and as a Councilman. He holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master of Motor Vessels License (Captian’s License), and has served as a coach to youth recreation programs.
